Many donors want their donation to help lives in their local community. It is important to remember to direct your gift to Lake & Sumter Counties. More specifically, many donors want their gift to benefit their favorite agency. United Way of Lake & Sumter Counties supports donor choice by having an open designation campaign. This means that you have the choice of donating your gift to our member agencies, or any other qualifying non-profit organization. Of course, you also have the option of directing your gift to the Community Care Fund which gives you the opportunity to  benefit the whole community including families, children, the elderly, and the disabled.

If you would like to designate your gift to a specific agency through UWLS but your workplace United Way is different and does not provide the option, simply contact The United Way of Lake & Sumter Counties via email LakeSumter@GiveWhereYouLive.com, by phone (352) 787-7530 (ask for Anh Reynolds), or by mail 320 West Oak Terrace Dr., Ste 106, Leesburg, Fl 34748.

 If you would like a confirmation that your gift reached your community, send us a request for a letter of acknowledgement from United Way of Lake & Sumter Counties to LakeSumter@GiveWhereYouLive.com. Include your full name, mailing address, employer, and amount of gift.
